Palau
Palau is a seaside town in northern Gallura, facing the stretch of sea between Sardinia and the La Maddalena archipelago. Its harbour and waterfront form the heart of the town, surrounded by granite hills and small beaches. The wind-shaped Bear Rock is its best-known natural landmark. Towards Porto Pollo, the landscape opens onto windy bays popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers, with the islands forming a backdrop across the water.
