Olbia
Olbia overlooks a sheltered gulf in north-eastern Sardinia and is one of the main gateways to Gallura. Its centre extends around Corso Umberto and streets near the waterfront, while the Romanesque Basilica of San Simplicio recalls the city’s earlier history. Port and airport activity coexist with residential neighbourhoods and coastal districts. The wider area includes beaches such as Pittulongu and shores facing towards Tavolara and Capo Ceraso.
