La Maddalena
La Maddalena is the main town of the archipelago of the same name, off the northern coast of Gallura. Squares, lanes and buildings gather around the harbour, reflecting a maritime and military past. A scenic road follows the island’s outline through granite rocks and sheltered bays. The link to Caprera leads to another part of the national park, with pine woods, a rugged shoreline and places associated with Giuseppe Garibaldi.
