Arzachena
Arzachena is one of Gallura’s main towns, in north-eastern Sardinia. The town stands inland among granite outcrops and vineyards, while its wider area reaches the bays of the Costa Smeralda and coastal villages such as Cannigione and Baja Sardinia. Squares and pale stone houses characterise the centre, surrounded by countryside with traditional farmhouses and traces of earlier settlements. The rural landscape and the sea offer two different sides of the same area.
